Katja Ebrigens

Katja was born and raised in Dresden, Germany, where she found her love for theater and music at the age of 11. She studied vocals (Classical Alto) with Soprano Barbara Hoehne and Musicology at Dresden University. During this time she gained a lot of practical experience as singer and actor being a seasonal ensemble member at the Landesbuehnen Sachsen, the Saechsische Staatsoper Dresden and the Staatsoperette Dresden.

In 2005 Katja moved to Manchester, UK, and, after a break, she retrained with Vocal Coach Soprano Jayne Wilson GRNCM as Classical Alto, Contralto and Zwischenfach (Contralto to high Soprano).

Katja especially enjoys to show a broad variety of her skills in both singing – from opera arias to rock/ pop, from musical theater to gospel, soul and jazz – and acting – from Shakespeare to comedy, contemporary plays and short films. In recent years she has also successfully worked as stage director, stunt coordinator (stage combat), stage and production manager as well as event organizer.
